Consecration Cross's and Candles

Consecration Cross These are placed around the walls of a church, twelve in all, to indicate that the church has been consecrated. One of the traditions of the catholic church is that a church cannot be consecrated until paid for, so the date of the consecration may be years or decades after it was built. The candles are often burning during great celebrations such as Christmas and Easter.
