Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Glory Be Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
Prayer to the Holy Spirit Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. V. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created. R. And You shall renew the face of the earth. Let us pray: O God, You taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that by the gift of the same Spirit we may be truly wise and always rejoice in his consolation. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
PRAYERS OF SORROWLord, Jesus, you chose to be called the friend of sinners. By your saving death and resurrection free me from my sins. May your peace take root in my heart and bring forth a harvest of love, holiness, and truth. Amen. OrO my God, because you are so good, I am very sorry that I have sinned against you, And with the help of your grace I will not sin again. Amen. OrO my God, I thank you for loving me, I am sorry for all my sins, For not loving others and not loving you. Help me to live like Jesus and not sin again. Amen
Prayer for Wales O Almighty God, in your infinite goodness, you sent your only- begotten Son into this world to open once more the gates of heaven, and to teach us to know, love, and serve you. Have mercy on your people who dwell in Wales. Nourish in us the precious gift of faith, and unite us in the one true church, founded by your divine Son. Give us the grace to be loyal witnesses together to your truth, and to live faithful to your love. Sanctify us by your Son's sacraments, and bring us to worship you in spirit and in truth, so that we may come to have eternal happiness with you in the world to come. Through the same Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen. Mary, Help of Christians, pray for Wales. St David, pray for Wales. St Winefride, pray for Wales. All you Saints of Wales, pray for Wales.
Hail Mary Hail Mary, full of grace! the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen
Hail Holy Queen Hail, holy queen, mother of mercy; hail, our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our cries, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy towards us; and after this our exile, show to us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. The MemoraraRemember, O most gracious virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you, O virgin of virgins, my mother. To you I come, before you I stand sinful and sorrowful. O mother of the word incarnate, do not ignore my petitions but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
The AngelusThe angel of the Lord spoke to Mary. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary.... Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Be it done unto me according to your word. Hail Mary.... And the Word was made flesh. And dwelled among us. Hail Mary.... Pray for us, O holy mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray. Pour forth, we beg you, O Lord, your grace into our hearts that we to whom the incarnation of Christ your son was made known by the message of an angel may by his passion and cross be brought to the glory of his resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
St. Francis of Assisi Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace: where there is hatred let me sow love, where there is injury let me sow pardon, where there is doubt let me sow faith, where there is despair let me give hope, where there is darkness let me give light, where there is sadness let me give joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not try to be comforted but to comfort, not try to be understood but to understand, not try to be loved but to love. Because it is in giving that we receive, it is in forgiving that we are forgiven, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
St. Alphonsus Liguori Holy Spirit, divine Consoler, I adore You as my true God, with God the Father and God the Son. I adore You and unite myself to the adoration You receive from the angels and saints. I give You my heart and I offer my ardent thanksgiving for all the grace which You never cease to bestow on me. O Giver of all supernatural gifts, who filled the soul of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with such immense favours, I beg You to visit me with Your grace and Your love and to grant me the gift of holy fear, so that it may act on me as a check to prevent me from falling back into my past sins, for which I beg pardon. Grant me the gift of piety, so that I may serve You for the future with increased fervour, follow with more promptness Your holy inspirations, and observe your divine precepts with greater fidelity. Grant me the gift of knowledge, so that I may know the things of God and, enlightened by Your holy teaching, may walk, without deviation, in the path of eternal salvation. Grant me the gift of fortitude, so that I may overcome courageously all the assaults of the devil, and all the dangers of this world which threaten the salvation of my soul. Grant me the gift of counsel, so that I may choose what is more conducive to my spiritual advancement and may discover the wiles and snares of the tempter. Grant me the gift of understanding, so that I may apprehend the divine mysteries and by contemplation of heavenly things detach my thoughts and affections from the vain things of this miserable world. Grant me the gift of wisdom, so that I may rightly direct all my actions, referring them to God as my last end; so that, having loved Him and served Him in this life, I may have the happiness of possessing Him eternally in the next. Amen
